Definition
Refers to a management concept aimed at creating value without waste as far as possible. The aim is to design the entire value chain efficiently by strictly aligning processes to the customer and concentrating on value-creating processes, e.g. value stream design, flow and pull principle. Implementation often takes place via production systems.
