Definition
Term for a performance level used by REFA as a reference performance for determining performance specifications, e.g. target times (standards). It is characterized by the fact that it can be achieved in the long term by employees with average aptitude, experience and training without increased effort, provided that the work system (workplace), work process and work environment are designed to suit the user. A characteristic feature is, for example, a work process that appears to be particularly fluid, harmonious, natural and balanced in terms of intensity, effectiveness and coordination of the actions of the person performing the work. The intensity here refers preferably to the visually perceptible work process, the effectiveness primarily to the work result. Normal performance denotes a performance range, not a fixed performance point.
