Indicates the condition or characteristics of products, services, work processes or work situations with regard to the fulfillment of the requirements placed on them (quality specifications). Is used comprehensively, e.g. also for the assessment of business operations or management processes (cf. DIN EN ISO 9000:2005 series of standards). Also used to evaluate the quality of work.
