Definition
Principle and procedure for developing and using of operational solutions, mainly as temporary best possible solution for e.g. execution of processes and tasks as well as the uniform design of products specifically with the help of generalization and obligatory use of operational experience and practices, also as results of CIP. Standardisation is a core element of production systems, supports the comparison of performances, is however preferably used to find and use stable, yet still adaptable solutions to changing conditions (so called flexible standardisation). Used are, for example, process standards, work system standards or methodological standards. REFA has been successfully applying the principle of standardisation for many years and conveys e.g. REFA-Standards or REFA-Standard Programs for application in their consultancy services or vocational trainings.
