Definition
Management concept that aims to view quality as a comprehensive characteristic that characterizes all operational activities and results and to implement it throughout. Quality is no longer regarded merely as a product characteristic. All processes are to be permanently improved. Guidelines:
- Quality characterizes all services and results.
- Quality is the result of continuous improvement.
- Quality is created, not "tested".
- Quality is the concern of all employees.
Status, results and progress in the implementation of TQM are documented by audits in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
