REFA standard programme, also known as 6-step-method. The REFA planning methodology systematically describes the purposive approach to the examination, evaluation, design and improvement of work situations in a very general shape, meaning without referring to specific cases of application. Tailored appropriately to the respective subject matter, it is thus applicable to various types of problems and projects, e.g. to the alteration of the work organisation through the introduction of the one-piece-flow-organisation. The REFA standard programme work system design describes a particular case of application. Over the course of the REFA training, the REFA planning methodology is variedly applied.
