Comprises measures and procedures for the predominantly qualitative determination, evaluation and assessment of the performance and work behavior of employees in a collectively agreed or company-contracted way according to specified characteristics, in particular in connection with a performance-related remuneration component according to ERA-TV. It takes place at fixed intervals (appraisal period), usually in the form of an appraisal interview. Its outcome influences the performance-related remuneration to be determined for the following appraisal period.
