Is referred to as the regulated and continuous use of work principles, procedures and instruments throughout the entire company for the effective design of processes in an economic and social sense across all business areas.
It incorporates company specific measures such as reorganization, enforcement of process orientation, changes in work organization with the active participation of employees, here in accordance with the principle of flexible standardisation.
Proven work principles are for example staff participation, group work, continuous improvement, visual management. Even under continuously changing market and production conditions these principles ensure that corporate goals are reliably or better achieved than before, support the successful application of target agreements and overcome the unorganised or only isolated use of work-improving principles and methods.
REFA Methods are often part of operational production systems. The term does not refer to technical systems, machines or production facilities, but refers to the bundling of work principles and methods, therefore meaning an entire “tool box” and the principles of its handling. The user of productions systems can only work successfully if he has the necessary knowledge and skills for the proper use of the principles and methods, applying them whilst considering the specific conditions.
