Term that is used in different ways, e.g.

for the evaluation of work situations, tasks and solutions according to various criteria, e.g. in terms of work design, pedagogy or work-economics,

for all measures for recording, differentiating and evaluating requirement attributes of work tasks according to principles, methods and criteria, that have been conclusively agreed by the collective bargaining parties. This application dominates in practice e.g. as analytical or summary work evaluation. Analytical means that the work requirements are recorded in detail according to their type and amount; summary means that the work requirements are determined as a whole.
