Definition
Describes a methodical principle and the procedure for determining quantitative work data by recording (registering) measured values (e.g. 1.51; 1.48; 1.54) of mostly physical measurands (e.g. time) and using units of measurement (e.g. min/performance). Measurands as work data are e.g. process duration, time, forces, weights, distances. The special value of the measurand is expressed with the product of the measured value and unit (cf. DIN 1313).
